- Can the light be used with a dimmer switchDimmer for outside? It works based on a sensor so ‘light switch’ must be turn on at all times. Then when you walk past it, it turns on
- what grade of stainless steel do you use? How long would it last?Tapping the main body, it is obviously plastic. The terminal box and support shaft are metal. The inside of the terminal box appears to be sintered, so not stainless steel. The plastic body and outside of the terminal box are all coated in a brushed-steel-effect film. - Does this need to be hardwired to the electrics?Yes it does, we were lucky as we previously had a switched light outside and simply replaced that and by-passed the switch. Very pleased with the light as it gives a good spread of light and makes getting the key into the front door keyhole much easier on dark nights.
