Customer Review
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 September 2021Indented Chef KnifeThis is the first chef knife I've bought in 20yrs so I thought it warrants a review. My previous one was a Fusion which lasted me that long and I hardly ever sharpened it but I just got bored of it and discarded it as I wanted something smaller. The pictures pretty much sum it up. It's about the size of a medium sized male hand and is easy to use. I'm a vegan so I can't vouch for meats but vegetables are enough of a challenge in size and texture and this blade will chop anything from the largest to the smallest with amazing precision and speed. I used to eat meat and prepare it and this tool will carve up anything from red meats to fish. It's versatile and razor sharp so be careful, and fits quite snugly into the sheath provided which has a locking rivet. There are indentations along the blade which they say prevent friction and add to the aesthetics. It's kinda a one size fits all chef tool so will make a great travel companion if cooking is your forte. The handle inspires confidence and so far I've never cut myself if you know how to use a knife properly. It's quite heavy but in a good way as it is a proper quality chef's knife so will demand reasonable experience. It's the best knife I've ever owned and is a joy to use as it ignited my passion for cooking again. It's also an absolute bargain at this price and looks and feels a lot more expensive!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 January 2020Perfect packaging . Secured, and I loved it when there was an ID check since it’s a sharp delivery.Amazing product...Firm grip and it might look short but I put my arm beside to show so u know it’s not short .Sharp and cuts anything hahaha .. can’t wait to cook something ? ?5 Big Stars ??RegardsSKA1 ?✌??
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 August 2020Amazing purchase, would buy more of different sizes !!!This knife is just amazing. Not too heavy or not too light. Bought for my partners birthday and she truly loves it.I had a go at cutting potatoes and it was like butter. Mind your fingers though , this is a PROPER KNIFE!!!Also came in a very nice case with a safety case only for the knife; plus instructions on how to keep your knife for life .Would’ve given 6 stars if I could :)
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 August 2020High quality at a very reasonable priceI really wanted the damascus steel variant however thought I'd try the £33 quid version before taking the plunge. Very impressed - absolutely feels and looks like a much more expensive blade. So much so it's made me think twice about whether I need to spend 4 times as much on the high end model.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 June 2021Beautifully made and sharpReally good experience. The packaging and presentation is that of a much more expensive knife. And the knife itself is beautifully made, nicely balanced and of course sharp! So impressed I've now ordered the chef's knife and steel set from Orient.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 December 2020Highly recommendI got this knife for my husband as a gift. Brought three for him to choose from and he chose this one. He is the chef in the family and is particular about knives. This is a great price point for a good-looking knife that works well and feels good in your hand. Would definitely recommend (plus I love that this is an independent new business and we like supporting new ventures)
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 September 2020OutstandingGot the Chef's knife from the same brand, which was the best knife I've ever had in the kitchen. This Santoku design was every bit as excellent.Razor sharp, easy to hone and keep sharp, lovely weight and balance - just bear in mind that the blade goes right to the edge of the heel, so watch your fingers if you are more used to a Wursthoff style knife.Could not recommend enough.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 September 2020Santoku Kitchen knifeThis is by far one of the best kitchen knife's I have ever purchased, super sharp and comfortable to use, nice heavy and comfortable feel to it.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 November 2021Very impressedBought for my better half to replace an old knife and she has said it’s a far better knife than the older one she’s had for quite a while
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 November 2021Santoko Chef knifeDecided we needed a good chef knife so went for the Santoko after reading many reviews. Happy with the purchase and would recommend.
