  I have been trying, frustratingly unsuccessfully, to connect this light fitting to Wi-Fi for almost 6 hours now. Got it up in less than 15 minutes...but it’s essentially just a cheap looking regular light fitting because it will NOT connect to the wifi. I’ve had it flashing so often the neighbours must think I’m holding an illegal rave in the kitchen - I’m not even epileptic, but think I’ve taken 2 fits (they may have been fits of rage) trying to get this to connect to the hub that’s less than 2 metres away!Will be calling their customer service team in the morning, and if not successful this ill advised prime day purchase will be being returned tomorrow

  Great quick-connect electrical connectors which worked for the heavy duty ceiling wires, as well as for my temporary plug connection (more on that later). No screwdriver needed. A mechanical quick-release is used for mounting (and re-mounting) the unit, (e.g. to the ceiling) to get easy access to the electrical connections - easier than un-screwing the whole thing.My main issue was that the instructions are absolutely right when they say that it should be near the wifi. At least for setting it up. I wasted quite a bit of time trying to get it set up in its intended location (well away from the wifi hub which we have upstairs, on the other side of the house).The porch had a wifi level of -87dB (not much signal; I have an app for measuring this on my phone) and this was not enough for set-up, which worked fine once it was next to the wifi, disconnected from the ceiling, and temporarily connected to power via a wall plug near the wifi, and a table-lamp wire with a switch built in.Having set it up, I then found that it didn't work when it was back in its intended location. Hmm. However after moving one of our wifi extenders nearer to the front door to boost the wifi signal, it worked fine.I have since used the app to change to the colour option, tried various colours (ok, not really necessary for the porch, but fun for a bit), and varied the brightness.Having had some fun, I reverted to the white setting and adjusted the white temperature (which was very cool/blue at the factory setting) to a lovely warm white.Having got it working (as a complete smart home newbie), within an hour I had also linked it to IFTTT to turn it on at sunset (link your IFTTT account to a pre-built applet in 'Smart Life'), and this worked fine!IFTTT has another applet that will turn the lamp colour to turquoise if rain is forecast - no end of possibilities!Given that the lamp is dimmable with the app, I'm thinking that I should have gone for the brighter lamp, but it is definitely bright enough for the porch.Am hoping to find a good external PIR to link to the lamp (via IFTTT or the Smartthings hub I have not yet bought) to increase the brightness when someone approaches the house.Will almost certainly buy some more.

  For the longest time I have been looking for a solution to my lighting needs. We have a room that receives no natural light, we've used GU10 lights to reach the darkest parts and have updated to the led version of these bulbs. This light instantly proved a magnificent replacement. Installation is a doddle. Fitting is the simplest I've ever seen. All the features are spot on, connecting to Alexa took seconds through the tuya app, we've tested all the functions and it works great. I bought 2 of these originally and have now ordered another 2, they will go in the hall and the landing. I am impressed and would highly recommend.

  I bought two for the ceiling of my garage gym. They are easy to wire in and fit to the ceiling by a non electrician providing you know what you're doing and assemble with the main switched off!Works brilliantly with Google Home.So why only 4 out of 5? Well because to put a light in pairing mode for wifi, this happens during powerup/switch on. To wire up two of these on the same circuit I had to connect one, pair it, wire second one up and skip out the first one, pair it, then join the two in circuit again. Wasn't difficult but took some thinking about and there's no menion in the instructions of how to do this with multiple lights.Although these are RGB colour range lights, I haven't used the colour range as much as anticipated but I don't always want to train in the gym with super bright lights (which these can be on full) - I turn them down to 50% off white when I want to do longer cross training sessions in a more chilled light. My daughter has had them both different colours at opposite ends of the garage gym!

Great product took 15 minutes to complete the fitting including removal of the original light fitting, no faffing about..really bright and the colour changing is great...only downside on my part was getting it to work with Google (it does now) but alexa no problem would recommend ? ?

  Great item with its colour changing mode, works with voice control very well. The only tricky bit is linking it to your wifi on the 2.4ghz setting and not the 5ghz setting that is also on your wifi modem. Had to temporary disable the 5ghz setting on my modem, so the lamp would locate the 2.4ghz setting. Luckily I knew how to do that . But other than that, looks great that I can change the colour of lighting in my porch .

  Very good Alexa compatible lights

  We bought these lights for my new home office. I wanted a set of lights that were dimmable and also where you could change the colours on them to add extra mood lighting in there.I am very impressed with these. They're a touch expensive but the reviews are good so I went with them. Thankfully they are compatible with Smart Life app, which I have all my smart devices on - so I didn't bother downloading and using the app they mentioned in their instructions.Getting started was easy - simply get the lights to reset by turning them on and off 3 times until they flash. Smart Life then pairs them and (thankfully!) it was smart enough to recognise both lights individually, which I was a bit worried that it wouldn't due to them being turned on together by the same light switch. Alexa then picked these up straight away as it already recognises that I have added a new device to Smart Life. For those that have never done this before, simply add Smart Life as a "skill" on Alexa to get that seamless pairing between the two apps. Each light will get a name (which you can edit) and then you can voice control them.Overall, these are great lights.

  I quite liked the design of this unit and the quick release mounting bracket though it can be a bit of a fiddle to get it to lock on due to the minimum room to pack in the cable and wago connectors that I used. Once up it looked okay and gave out a lot of light.That's where the good bits stop. This unit would not connect to my router at all. I followed the instructions to the letter using the app and absolutely no chance of connecting. After a few attempts the unit refused to reset which made any further attempts impossible. A waste of an afternoon spent trying to get this light to work so I have returned it for a refund. I would advise not buying this light if you want smart capability.

  Very easy to install and fits flush. Well worth the price. I brought just thinking it was a white light that you could turn off with phone but it does so much more!! Now have it turn on every workday morning and choose colour depending on day.

  There is nothing to dislike about these lights.Lovely colours, you can have them really bright or really dim and they work seamlessly through our Alexa., very very easy to connect to the WiFi.We would def purchase again.
