  Almost perfect

  Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I was apprehensive about getting this fan light due to the price if it was very good. Eventually I decided to order it as I was constantly stuck in a small office with very little airflow.The product arrived reasonably packaged and the instructions, albeit not absolute English were good enough to follow, all in it took about 45mins to install (working at a safe pace).One of my main concerns was the construction, I'd had a ceiling fan in the past, which wobbled manically at full speed. Despite it's size, it's firmly fixed to ceiling and at full pelt, shows no sign of moving.The lighting is great, providing an Amber, white and yellow settings. These can be dimmed to a level appropriate to the user.The reason this didn't get full stars is due the lack of a settings memory. Each time I use the remote to turn the light back on I have to adjust it, rather than it remembering my settings.The fans are effective for a small room and certainly get a blast of cool air when the fans are summoned. I personally do not find them overly noisy, but it will certainly affect listening to music, TV etc.This product is well suited to small office bedroom, just be aware of the noise.I am personally more than happy with this purchase.

  Cracking good fan/ light

  First the negatives there ain't no negatives so now good bits just had my fan/light fitted and I am really pleased with it the light goes from low light to nice and bright and the fan on low is just a nice breeze and not noisy and on high it's blown me off the bed twice. The after sales service contacted me a couple of days after my purchase and asked if all was ok and said any problems please contact us so I was impressed with their service and now I'm going to order 2more for my lounge.   Doesn't work as advertised

  I bought this for the spare bedroom during the crazy hot days in July. It was simple to fit (I fitted it single handed).- 3 colour dimmable: Works well. However, the light is non-changeable LED's so when the LED eventually goes, you have to buy a completely new unit. At £120 I hope they last a long, long time)- 3 Speed fan: The timer functions (1H,2H or 4H) do not work- 'Soft Sleeping Wind': on it lowest setting the fan is very noisy and and definitely NOT 'soft' (even on its lowest setting).Would I but it again - Definitely NOT!

  Padma very responsive to fix problem - 5 star!

  So the light was delivered on the 24th. I didn't have the chance to install it till the 26th when I found it wouldn't work. It gave a slightly pathetic beep, which told me that I had at least wired it right, but nothing else. So I contacted Padma Lighting direct via Amazon's messaging service. That's where everything started to go right. In less than 24 hours I had a friendly reply asking for some diagnostic information and offering a replacement. The replacement arrived on the 30th and works fine - I would guess that Padma had arranged for the replacement to be sent direct by their UK distributor to me.I am seriously impressed. This is a company based in China who care enough about their reputation in the UK to take the original failure seriously and arrange for a replacement in double quick time, and did it all in a friendly and approachable manner (and pretty good English). Problems can happen to anyone, it's how you deal with them afterwards that separates the good from the bad companies. Padma are a good company and I would have no qualms about buying from them again.So to the light itself. Well, it works as advertised, it's a very good light and fan and I'm very pleased to have it.PS somebody in another review suggests inserting a length of flex, say a foot or so, between the the ceiling wires and the light terminal block - you'll probably need another terminal block to do this. It's worth doing as it makes the installation a *lot* easier.

  Fit for purpose, worth the money, 10/10 for effectiveness.

  I wanted to have some attractive lights that did not hang down in line of sight as I found that intrusive and I liked the diffused manner that these light units offer. When I read that they combine with a fan as well I was very happy. I had to get an electrician to install the fans, I bought 2 for the lounge and one for the bedroom, because my landlord needed a certificate of correct installation for safety reasons. If not for that I'm sure my sons could have put them up as they are straightforward to install. The remote needs 2 triple A batteries, not provided. The only drawback is the settings are not remembered once you have switched off for the night but I found that as I am constantly changing the settings to suit my needs throughout the day that didn't matter after a while. I soon got used to the buttons and what they do. The lights have been admired by others and I'm very pleased with everything about them. Was initially worried they would look plasticky but they actually look quite stylish. The write up quotes 50,000 hours for the LED bulb which equates to 5.7 years continuous use. That doesn't sound very long when you consider the bulbs aren't replaceable but my electrician explained I can extent the life of the bulb considerably by not switching it on and off again constantly. So if I'm going out or leaving the room and I know I'm coming back I just dim the light and leave it on for later. This way it doesn't waste power on start up. I switch it on in the morning and off at night and leave the lights running in the meantime. LEDs use very little power anyway but what kills the bulbs is switching them on and off constantly when you leave the room, so basically, don't. The fan part of the unit is amazing! I suffer with the heat in summer and I'm so confident these will keep me cool. Not too noisy either.

  Brilliant product and becoming more available and in demand

  I took a gamble on this product as it.had no reviews at the time. Glad i did. My daughter is over the moon with this on her bedroom ceiling. The light choices are from extremely bright to subtle,the fan passes out cold air to cool the room,no need for fans blasting directly onto you. The plastic LED lens feels abit femmer when insralling but once its up its fine. No rattles or imbalance on the fan. Installation took approx. 20 minutes but may be longer and more tricky if going direct to plaster board ceiling-i had fitted a wooden batton when i reboarded the room out so light fittings had a good solid mount to screw to. The unit isnt overly heavy though so appropriate plugs etc supplied should do the job. All in all. More than please.?

  This is the best light/fan ever.The company kept me informed.The first light has an LED fault. I emailed them and they sent me a perfect new one the very next day.Brilliant. I would use again without question.

  A bit awkward to mount

  The fan is lightweight (as ceiling fans go) but it is a bit awkward to mount. Once you have the bracket fitted, you need to wire the light up whilst holding it before you can then attach to the mount (other ceiling fans i have fitted usually have a wiring section seperate from the fan unit - so you can hook the unit on then connect the wiring together) - this was made easier by unscrewing the connector block on the fan unit to give a little more room, but its definately a two-man operation (one to hold and one to wire up)The fan itself is good and the timer function is a great idea.The only real disappointment i have is the lack of memory setting for the light, so it comes on full brightness at the preset colour every time, but all in all its not a huge issue

  Like pinning a desk fan and a search light to the ceiling

  It serves its purpose: a fan I can leave in my infants' room that's out of the way and caged so he can't throw anything into it.Everything else is so-so. The light whines on anything brighter than night-light mode, which is bright enough to never need another option. The fan goes from loud to 'wind tunnel'. And the remote is only needed because there are no manual controls, and if you turn the light off at the wall, it forgets its previous settings. There's no wall clip for the remote, so I expect it'll get lost in the next year or so.Fitting was a little difficult because despite the huge size and requiring standard wiring, there's no handy pinch/snap-shut terminals here so give yourself more cable if you can, and get some help while positioning.Nothing about this screams quality, except maybe the sparkly, uniform, light ring (for which we've had compliments, which goes to show how middling all these kinds of ceiling fans are). I'm not sure if the £130 I spent was value for money, but as I say, it serves its purpose.

  Impressive and trendy

  The light is very impressive, I have it in the Boy's Bedroom and he is over the moon, The three different light options is a good idea to change the mood, and the dimmer is perfect for chillin with the TV on, on full power it does kick out a good bit of light, the fan has three power options, they all work well, like a desk fan, so circulating the Air, the noise from the fan is the same as a desk top fan, so you can hear it, but it is not overly loud. The Plastic Light Source has a glittery effect on the unit, does not effect the Lighting, so a strange thing to have - hence the Trendy comment - for the price this unit is very good - easy to fit, you may need someone to hold it while you connect up.
